PLASMA WAVE

PLASMA WAVE TREATMENT

The plasma device creates genuine plasma output not an electrical current. This plasma arc permits precise 'soft surgery' such as skin tag and mole removal as well as effective non-surgical blepharoplasty (eye lid correction) and other treatments using sublimation, fulguration and electro-coagulation. The device provides safe acne treatments using a plasma ring with a disposable patch. Plasma lifting utilises a 500Hz modulated frequency which is specialised for deep wrinkle treatments. Additionally, the device has permeating and fractional tips which allow treatment to boost the trans-dermal absorption of cosmetics. Plasmawave™ Principle: The principle is to ionise gases in the air to create a small electrical arc, similar to a tiny lightning bolt, with which the areas affected by aesthetic problems may be treated, without unwanted damage to surrounding areas. The plasma causes instant contraction and tightening of skin fibres causing shortening and tightening of skin fibres, thus resulting in the reduction of the skin surface.

HISTOLOGY AND PENETRATION 1. Immediate tissue contraction is accomplished via thermal denaturation of dermal collagen 2. Thermal disruption of epidermis and activation of fibroblasts stimulate a wound healing cascade necessary for neocollagenesis. It does not produce explosive vaporization and is more uniform than with ablative lasers because plasma does not depend on interaction with a chromophore. The procedure induces a formation of a dry membrane or scab on skin surface, which peels off few days after the treatment.

What can be expected during treatment? The area to be treated is cleansed and coated it with anesthetic cream that take effect within one hour. Once the procedure start heat sensation and a little pain may be felt. Following the procedure, small black or brown ‘carbon crusts’ on the treated area of skin will be present.

How long will it take to recover from the Plasma Wave procedure? After the treatment some swelling may be present, which should settle in 48 to 72 hours. The carbon crusts on the skin will normally disappear with 4 to 10 days. During this time the treated area cannot be touched or scratched , as it may cause pinkish skin discoloration (hypo- or hyper pigmentation). How many sessions are needed? The amount of sessions needed varies from patient to patient and their individual concerns. For eyelid lifts, for example, 3 or 4 sessions may be required, usually every 6 to 8 weeks. Is PLASMA WAVE permanent? The effect of the procedure is considered to be permanent. However, the ageing process continues. Follow up procedures may be needed to maintain the results.

ABOUT

WHAT IS PLASMA? Plasma is the fourth state of matter: Liquid, Solid, Gas and Plasma. Plasmawave™ Plasma Device The Plasmawave™ plasma device creates genuine plasma output not an electrical current. This plasma arc permits precise 'soft surgery' such as skin tag and mole removal as well as effective non-surgical blepharoplasty (eye lid correction) and other treatments using sublimation, fulguration and electro coagulation. The device provides safe acne treatments using a plasma ring with a disposable patch. Plasma lifting utilises a 500Hz modulated frequency which is specialised for deep wrinkle treatments. Additionally, the device has permeating and fractional tips which allow treatment to boost the trans dermal absorption of cosmetics.

Plasma Tip The Plasma Wave machine conductor tip creates a tiny plasma flash from the tip (similar to a tiny lightening bolt). The tip does not need to touch the skin. The plasma lightning jumps from the tip to the skin and evaporates, leaving a very small superficial brown carbon spots that look like freckles. There is no heat to the surrounding skin. These small spots draw the skin together in their direct environment and shrink the excess skin. We follow a specific pattern to set the points to look like a grid (a reduction grid). This is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that shrinks excess skin, bags and wrinkles! This treatment protocol is also used for other areas of the face/body. The principle is to ionise gases in the air to create a small electrical arc, similar to a tiny lightning bolt, with which the areas affected by aesthetic problems may be treated, without unwanted damage to surrounding areas. The plasma causes instant contraction and tightening of skin fibres causing shortening and tightening of skin fibres, thus resulting in the reduction of the skin surface.

TIGHTENING ————————>

The final result is an improvement of the firmness and tension of the skin (lifting effect). Since Plasma energy affects the deeper dermal layers, the result is a lifted contour, a decrease in deep wrinkles, thicker and firmer skin. Plasma promotes new collagen protein which causes the original collagen protein to strengthen the skin.

ADVANTAGES VS SURGERY: No cutting of skin No stitches required Very low risk procedure (NO risk of blindness as there is with surgery) Minimal side effects and far less downtime Quick & easy procedure No thinning of the skin Significant cost saving INDICATIONS: Blepharoplasty Lifting of face and neck Lifting of excess skin of arms and abdomen Stretch Marks Treatment of acne Post-acne scars Scars - Discoloration of the skin (age spots, solar lentigo) Warts XanthelasmasPROCEDURE: Client Consultation Form To reduce discomfort and any pain associated with the treatment a topical anesthetic should be applied to the skin(purchased by the patient)before treatment. The area should be cleaned with a non-alcohol cleanser. The area must be dry before treatment with no oils on skin Mark the areas to be treated with a skin marking pen Perform the treatment with the PLASMA WAVE
